Greenwood Cemetery is one of Muskingum County’s most historic and storied landscapes, the resting place of early settlers, community leaders, and veterans whose lives helped shape the region’s identity. This booklet accompanies the May 17, 2026 Greenwood Cemetery Tour, where seven of these remarkable individuals were honored through live portrayals and engaging historical interpretation.
With the support of the Muskingum County Library System and the dedicated performers of the Renner Theatre, seven figures from Greenwood’s past were brought vividly to life during the tour. Inside this booklet, you will find biographical narratives for each of the seven individuals portrayed, along with a curated list of additional notable burials and a detailed cemetery map to guide your visit.
